Once you have chosen a flexible super glue that adheres leather and wood, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the surfaces are clean and dry. 
2. Lay out the materials and make sure everything fits properly before applying any adhesive.
3. Apply a small amount of super glue to one surface.
4. Press the leather firmly into place and hold it for 30–60 seconds or until a bond forms. 
5. Allow the item to completely cure before normal use.
6. Clean up your tools and any drips or runs with a damp cloth or paper towel. Use a razor blade to carefully cut away cured adhesive. 

If you chose a brush-on contact adhesive, the procedure is similar to the above directions. The only difference is that contact adhesives often bond best if the adhesive is applied to both surfaces and allowed to partially dry before bonding.

For spray adhesive, proceed as follows:

1. Set up your workspace. Cover any items that might get overspray on them. 
2. Shake the can of spray adhesive about a dozen times, then remove the lid and align the nozzle with the black dot on the rim.
3. Spray a light, even coat on each surface to be bonded. Allow it to dry according to the directions on the can.
4. Lay the leather into place and press firmly. Use a clean cloth to remove any air pockets and ensure the entire surface is bonded.
